Of course there are the positives that come with living on campus: the friends, the convenience, the included food, the independence and the life skills of learning how to compromise in living with other people. However, no list of pros would be complete without the cons to accompany it. So are the main issues that students can't stand when it comes to living at California State University, Long Beach?
Brian Moon, 19-year-old finance major has just one complaint: "It's a dry campus. You can't drink!" Although currently underage to legally drink in the United States, Brian is disappointed that when he celebrates his 21st birthday in a couple of years, he'll have to experience the inconvenience of throwing a party somewhere other than his temporary home.
For 19-year-old Aileen Chen, pre-nursing student, there are a few more negative issues that come along with living on campus. Where does she start? "Well, the food is not the best and neither is sharing a bathroom with so many other people. The rooms are small, it's expensive to dorm here and shower situations kind of suck. But the worst thing would be if you got a bad roommate." Luckily for Aileen's sake, she gets along just fine with hers.
